Presence is our faculty to be in touch with what is real in each moment.

Meditation is one way to cultivate presence and re-discover this ability to simply be and to welcome and accept what is – as opposed to be driven by thoughts about the future or the past (e.g. worries, fantasy, anxiety, planning, etc.).

(Re-)connecting to the moment is one thing; nurturing a practice that helps us return to it again and again is another.

This 4-class series if for you who are looking for inspiration and support to either start or reconnect to a regular sitting meditation practice. Every one willing to meditate is welcome, raw beginners, and experienced meditators. There is no pressure to start a home practice, simply an option.

Meditation guidance

Each class will present you with different techniques and sources of inspiration for meditation, so you can find what speaks to you most. We will gradually build up from one class to the next, progressively posing the foundations for a solid practice.

Each session will include a short intro on the day’s theme, some time for Q&A, and (for the most part) a set of different guided meditations. In addition to the live class, you will be provided with the recording of the sessions, including smaller sets with the guided meditations for you to practice in-between sessions.

Support for Home Practice

Establishing a daily practice is not mandatory for this class, but strongly encouraged. While I will offer you my humble suggestions for a successful practice during class, in the end it is obviously up to you only.

For the participants who wish, there will be a possibility to pair up with a “meditation buddy” – a way to support each other as accountability partners in-between sessions. Such process can significantly improve your chances and motivations to get a regular practice going.

Your teacher

My name is Cédric, 8-year meditator and owner of HeartWiseYoga.com. I am passionate about sharing ancient yogic wisdom with others in an easily relatable and always experiential way. I believe that presence is not to be cognitively learned or mentally understood only, but rather felt from a direct, body-based experienced. I am excited to share with you the ways in which yoga and meditation have helped me – and continues to – awaken to a sense of inner-balance, empowerment, and a connection to a greater perspective.

While quite eclectic, my meditation practice is mostly informed by the classical and more modern teachings of yoga, nondual tantra, Buddhism, as well as more modern mindfulness techniques. While practicing and teaching meditation, I explore the realms of the body, breath, mind, and emotions, as well as subtler techniques of inner qualities and silent mantras.

Logistics

All classes take place on Zoom at a regular time: 6.30 pm European Central Time / 12.30 pm Eastern Time / 9.30 am Pacific Time, every Sunday starting Jan 31st, 2021 (last class on Feb 21st).  Each session will last 1h15m and will be recorded.

Your participation in all the four classes is of course deeply appreciated, yet not necessary. You are free to use the recordings at your leisure and own pace.

Upon registration, inform me about any specifics you might have. If you already know it, let me know if you are interested in being paired with another meditation buddy.

The cost for the whole series is: 350 DKK // 47 EUR (or 57 USD app., subject to exchange rates). (If you cannot afford the full price, you have the possibility to make a donation when purchasing your ticket).
