A TIME for YOGA & MINDFULNESS
What a challenging year. It is fair to say that each of us has experienced being thrown of balance and the difficulty of impermanence. However, on the brighter side the pandemic has invited us to appreciate each moment, one at a time, and value what is most important to us.
The practice of yoga and mindfulness aims at supporting us to be fully present to what life has to offer, also in difficult times. As we cultivate presence in yoga and meditation, we build up our capacity to enjoy life to its fullest. We then become able to bring presence and the benefits of the practice into our relationships, at home, at work, and in our inner world.
Yoga meets you where you are, no matter your body or experience, and everyone is welcome to the retreat – beginners and advanced practitioners alike. The instructors will provide both new and well-versed yogis with suggestions for modifications that match your level, preferences, injuries, and what you need to take care of.
We will practice yoga-asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation 2 or 3 times each day. Your main teacher, Cédric Gorinas (HeartWiseYoga.com), teaches with strong focus on good, therapeutic alignment and biomechanics of the body, along with a focus on our inner-world, so called “the Heart,” and personal development. This holistic approach to yoga brings a general sense of balance and nourishment in body, mind, and heart. Cédric will teach this retreat with a guest teacher with extensive training and experience in the techniques and benefits of mindfulness, yoga, and somatic modalities.
A SAFE ENVIRONMENT
The number of spots is limited to ensure a safe and intimate space, where each person can be free to be themselves and grow their edges and provide room for personal support on your practice and personal journey throughout the retreat.
NATURE & THE ELEMENTS
Nature is central in this retreat. In addition to the benefits of yoga and mindfulness, we will enjoy the luscious nature around and near the property with sauna, lake swims, and mindful walks, solo and in group, to cultivate presence and balance.
LOCATION & LOGISTICS
Mindfulness Manor is located 3½-4h from Copenhagen and Stockholm. It is a unique place with history, comfort, and lots of charm.
You can either drive to the retreat place or take the train to Mullsjö station, where we can pick you up (app. 5km away).
The food will be vegan, organic and gluten-free when possible. Simple and delicious. Please notify us upon registration for food allergies.
Cédric Gorinas (PhD, CYT-500, Ashaya Yoga certified ®)
I am a certified teacher and instruct yoga classes, trainings, and events regularly, mostly around Copenhagen. The most important thing for me is to create a safe space that provides you with a safe container to be yourself and possibly explore your edges.
In my classes, you will experience a strong focus on body alignment, which ensures that you move into each posture in a safe and therapeutic way. In addition to alignment, I also include a more heart-centered dimension, or how your yoga practice can support you in your own personal development – also off the mat.
I have trained with internationally recognized teachers in advanced anatomy, therapeutics, ancient philosophy, and more, within the Ashaya Yoga® tradition (certified). Ashaya combines clear therapeutics, biomechanics, science with ancient, easily relatable wisdom.
I am fascinated by the interconnectedness between the body, the mind, and what ancient yogic texts call the “Heart”. Besides teaching yoga, I offer 1-to-1 coaching and team workshops within a holistic approach to development and informed by modalities such as mindfulness, eastern wisdom, poetry, and body-centered psychotherapy.
” I just love his classes! Such a nice voice to follow, love to detail and nice themes. I always feel amazing afterwards. Lovely!”
”Fantastic classes! Cedric teaches with sharp knowledge, dedication, and care for his students. I participated to Cedric’s retreat in 2018, and it was one of the best and most powerful experiences I’ve had in many years. I can’t recommend enough Cedric’s classes and retreats. He creates energy and magic, so that life opens up again in a new way!”
Cédric will be joined by a guest teacher with extensive experience and training in both modern and ancient mindfulness, meditation techniques and practices, somatic modalities at the intertwine of yoga, conscious movement, and psychology.
Expect a high level of professionalism and much inspiration to take home with you and your practice.
