Simple & Powerful Course

Get your Home Meditation Practice Going!

Meditation counts many health benefits from relieving stress, minimizing anxiety, increasing happiness and concentration, and much more.

Its power is not reserved to advanced master yogis only; it actually is quite accessible and simple. This being said, simple does not mean easy and experiencing the power of meditation takes practice.

Right here is why I decided to put this short meditation course together and, more generally, why I love teaching meditation. My intention is to support you in starting or reigniting your meditation practice and to keeping it going afterwards. I know too well the temptation to drop a practice, and I am here to help. As you make meditation yours and realize it is not about copying anyone else’s experience – or reaching enlightenment or getting rid of thoughts and the like – you experience the power of meditation and the well-being it has to give you.

Welcome to what is already yours.

Simple and Powerful – the Course

This course is asynchronous. You can do it at your own pace and just download the audios on your device. I designed it to take place over 7 days, with one recording each day, plus a little introduction and conclusion. I think it ought to be simple (and that it can) and I know that small can grow big quickly. Practically, each recording you will find here is rather short – most being under 10 min.

The idea is for you to listen to one recording each day for seven days. You follow the instructions each time, as they resonate and seem helpful, and before you know it you have a daily meditation practice. My intention is for you to continue after the seven days, using the recordings for your home sitting meditation practice and the suggested meditation protocol. These instructions and guidance have proven helpful for dozens past students and clients, and made a true difference for my own practice. For this I am indebted and grateful for the many great teachers I met, including Sally Kempton, Shinzen Young, Todd Norian, Tara Brach, Simon Krohn, and a few others.

Besides the 9 audio files (introduction, 7 recordings for 7 days, concluding remarks), you will find a home-practice protocol I designed for you in a PDF file.

Because it is new, I am offering it on donation / pay from the heart.

Suggested 25 to 70 EUR, but it really is up to you.

Each file is downloadable on your device, so you can practice while being offline or in airplane mode.

Enjoy your practice and let me know how it goes or if you have any questions!

Yours truly,

Cédric

Course Material Overview

  • Introduction: How to start and use this course
  • Day 1 – Physical Anchoring: For a lot of us, starting meditation using our body as an object for concentration, moment to moment, works well. Moreover, physical anchoring functions nicely as a step into a prolonged meditative state.
  • Day 2 – The Breath: In this practice, we use aspects of our breath as our point of focus to enter concentration.
  • Day 3 – Presence: What is Presence really about? In an experiential way, we meditate on presence itself, a subtler object of meditation, as it is taking place in our body and field of awareness.
  • Day 4 – Whole-Body Breath: This practice integrates what we have seen in the first three days and expands a little to allow our attention to include our entire torso interacting with our breath.
  • Day 5: Introduction to the Heart: This session introduces the mystical and powerful doorway into our truth, aka our heart. We become acquainted to this part of our body and its subtler quality that brings us closer to our mysterious self.
  • Day 6 – The Heart and Mantra: Continuing our exploration of the heart, we meditate with an ancient awakening technique, i.e. the Sanskrit mantra Hamsa.
  • Day 7 – The Central Axis: This practice brings you back to a somatic experience of your very center, your midline. Called sukshumna nadi in Sanskrit, the midline is an imaginary central axis extending from your perineum to your head crown and beyond. Enjoy the grounding and deep reconnection it can give you.
