Cédric (HeartWise Yoga) and Veduna Retreat are delighted to invite you to a special treat in the Slovenian mountains.

Enjoy a 5-day gateway in the beautiful and preserved nature of Slovenia with daily yoga, meditation, nature walks… and deep nourishment for your body, mind, and heart.

The intention of this retreat is to help you recharge and re-connect to the joy and experience of a vibrant body, calm mind, and warm heart.

You will also deepen and build up your yoga and mindfulness practice as a natural result of this retreat.

In addition to yoga and meditation, you will be invited to deepen your somatic (body-based) awareness in both your practices, movements, meditations and daily lives with a few specific sessions.

You can expect an inclusive, relaxed, and light-hearted atmosphere. Supported by the warmth and softness of the surrounding Slovenian nature, Cedric will create a safe and sacred space so you can enjoy the retreat to its fullest.

Slovenia, yet to-be-discovered country in the heart of Europe, offers a luscious, green and still raw nature, heart-warmth people, and rich wisdom and traditions.

This unique retreat venue is an organic, biodynamic farm where simplicity meets comfort. You will enjoy the open mountain view from all buildings and most rooms, an outside pool, a sauna, numerous indoor and outdoor spaces to chill out, as well as many hiking trails for your nature explorations – solo or with other retreat friends.

Program

The retreat will start at 6 pm on Day 1 and ends with lunch on Day 5.

In general, each day will be a mix of gentle and dynamic yoga, meditation, personal reflection time, somatic awareness, free movement … and of course space for free time. Some sessions will be facilitated outside when weather allows.

Preliminary program (subject to change) for each day:

7:30-8:30: Morning practice (Gentle Yoga and/or Meditation)

Breakfast

10:30-13:00: Morning Session (e.g. Hatha Yoga workshop, reflection)

Lunch break

16:30-18:30: Afternoon session (e.g. Gentle practice, somatic awareness, moving meditation and/or outdoor walk/session)

Dinner and free time

Although you are warmly encouraged to attend all sessions, each participant is free to skip a few if this is what is needed.

Meet your teacher, Cedric

Cedric Gorinas (PhD, Certified Yoga Teacher – 500h+).

My deepest intention as a teacher is to create a safe space where you are invited to be yourself and find balance and health. My students often describe me as warm and gentle, but also some sort of “coach” that helps grow their edges in an organic and respectful way.

Yoga meets you where you are, no matter your body or experience. Everyone is welcome to the retreat, beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

I’ll guide you with focus on body alignment so you move into each posture in a safe and therapeutic way, and build resilience and strength. In addition to body alignment and strengthening, I am passionate about the meditative aspect of yoga. Thus I always bring a theme-based dimension to my classes to inspire you and support you to grow as a person. Naturally, mindfulness and breath are two significant aspects of our practice.

My intention is truly to meet you and support you at the levels of your body, mind and heart. I teach “yoga and beyond” for my students to experience balance and replenishment at all levels – if they want to – on & off the mat.

The yoga we will practice is a mix of gentle and more dynamic asana, sometimes slow, and sometimes more flowy, but always with safe alignment cues and a theme-based class. We will add some guided exploration of the body through somatic awareness and moving meditation sessions.

You can expect a warm, respectful and light-hearted space where humor meet the depth of an ancient practice.

I will be joined by my partner, another experienced and talented mindfulness, yoga, and group facilitator for extra support, inspiration, and guidance during your week.

Overall, your guides for the week will combine nearly two decades of practice and studies of yoga, meditation, philosophy, poetry, conscious movement, somatic psychotherapy and spiritual teachings to offer you a overall replenishment of your body, mind, and heart.
